Playa de Somo is one of northern Spain's finest surf breaks. Consistent waves, beautiful beach, surf schools and board rental all nearby. Good for beginners and experienced surfers.

Las Tetas mountains are right in our backyard, with beautiful walks starting close to Casa Val de Vida and routes towards Liérganes and back to La Cavada. For bigger mountain adventures, the stunning Picos de Europa are perfect for a day trip — with dramatic peaks, deep valleys and unforgettable views.
From our gate
The area around Las Tetas has some surprisingly excellent climbing spots. Limestone walls, varied grades, and the kind of setting that makes even rest days feel worthwhile.
Nearby
Rolling Cantabrian hills, quiet country roads, sea views, mountain passes. This is cycling that will make your legs ache and your soul sing. The roads around La Cavada are genuinely spectacular.
From the door
Dramatic cliff paths along the Cantabrian coast. Rugged headlands, hidden coves, and views that stretch all the way to the horizon. One of the most underrated coastlines in Europe.
30 min drive
No cars. No noise. A hammock in the garden. A coffee on the terrace. The sound of the birds. The light changing through the afternoon. This is also a completely valid plan — actually, it might be the best one.
